SEA SUITS HIM
Wireless from the Monowai.)
PHAR LAP AS SAILOR AND FAVOURITE OF THE SHIP.
(By
Phar Lap, Australia's wonder 'racehorse, who is travelling on the Monowai to America to try to win the rich Aguascaliente Handicap, is proving as great a sailor as he is a racehorse. His only danger is of developing sugar diabetes. If his attendant Woodcock would allow it, every woman aboard would fhed the horse with sugar and other trifles. The champion has sett;led • do.wn in his commodions quarters, and, with the seas fairly cairn, Woodcock is giving him malking exercise on his special deck. He also wanders round his. sand yard, and does not appear to be the least worried. The horse's condition is perfect, and Woodcock is hopeful that soon after his arrival in America he will he able to commence fast work. Phar. Lap's coat, always greatly admired in Australia, is now a deep red, and with constant polishing and massage, shines like a mirror.
