WHAKATANE ATHLETIC AND CYCLING CLUB

WHAKATANE, Friday. The Whakatane Amateur Athletic and Cycling Sports Club held a track meeting here this evening. There was a very good attendance in view of the fact that the weather was threatening, though no rain actually fell. At the conclusion of the meeting, prizes were presented by Mr. W. Cartright. * Following are the results: Running Half Mile: M. Coulter 1, Dawson 2. 220 Yards: J. Chadwick 1, B. White 2. Cycling One and a half miles: W. Hansen 1, D. Aberhart 2. D. Aberhart also won a special points prize presented by Mr. F. S. Johnsen. 800 Yards: S. Pyne, 1; F. Smedley, 2.
