START MADE IN PAIRS COMPETITION AT j CHRISTCHURCH iFORMER CHAMPIONS ENGAGED | CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. With the singles championship narrowed to five contestants a start was made with the pairs in the New Zealand bowling toufnament to-day. The weather was again fine. Eighty-four pairs representative of the leading clubs in the Dominion, took part. Included in these are A. Kinvig and L. Laurenson (Linwood), the 1929 winners, and j. Angus and J. A. Redpath ( Cantef bury ) , the 1924 winners.
