HINDENBURG PROMISED NAZI PARTY'S SUPPORT ELECTION TO PROCEED
— By Telegraph — Copyright).
Rec. Jan. 13, 9.35 p.m. BERLIN, Wednesday. Following the refusal of the Hitlerites and the German National Party to support Dr. Bruening's plan of extending President Hindenhurg's term of office by a Reichstag resolution, the election will proceed in the usual way. The Hitlerites' support of President Hindenhurg's candidature is regarded as certain and his election is thus assured. The only opposition will be probably from the Communist candidate, Herr Thaelman, who in 1925 received 1,930,000 votes.
