— By Telegraph — Copyright.)
Rec. Jan. 10, 7.30 p.m. LONt)ON, Sunday. Externally a replica of the Strathnaver, a sister ship, the Strathnaird, has just been completed. She was fitted out at Liverpool and will now carry out her speed trials on the Clyde. Internally the Strathnaird is just as much a "dream ship" as the Srathnavar. She has a gorgeous main deck lounge, with ornamental columns and luxury cabin suites, which are the last word in perfection. The Hon. Alexander Shaw, deputychairman of the P. and O. Company, and his wife, Lady Margaret Shaw, sat at the head of the table at the ofiicial luncheon, which was attended by 300 guests, as the ship lay at anchorage in the Mersey. Mr. Shaw announced that Lord Inchcape (chairman of the company) had passed a good night, which announcement was received with a loud 1 burst of applause.
