PLANS TO AVOID SEIZURE FRU STRATED BY POLICE MOSLEMS OPPOSE BOYCOTT
-By Telegraph — Copyright).
Rec. Jan. 7, 10.0 p.m. DELHI, Thursday. The Bombay Government has frustrated attempts by the Congress organisation to transfer its funds in the bank to individual accounts. Yesterday detectives seized £3850 in two Bombay banks which had been transferred to private accounts in order to avoid sequestration under the new ordinance. Indian Moslems generally are determined not to tolerate a repetition of the boycott of traders selling British goods, which seriously hampered trade in the last civil disobedience movement, and meetings of Moslems at many centres have passed resolutions supporting the Government ordinance, and warning the ^ Congress that the Moslems will not hesitate to take direct action to suppress disobedience.
