ANOTHER OKAREKA BAG

Fishing on Lalce Okareka on Wednesday, Mr. J. Poynter, of Balclutha, and two" other rods, took an excellent bag of 28 fish for under a day's fly fishing. The majority of the bag was taken between 10 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. and 20 of the 28" were in first-class condition. The remainder of the fish were only medium. The party found the fish taking particularly well between the hours mentioned, and found the claret and mallard fly, with the imitation green beetle, and a hometied long tailed fly, particularly effectiye. The catch averaged 2|lbs. in weight.
