However, through still streets lined with silent people, many of whom were weeping Arnoldo's body was borne to the Church of St. Mark. His brother, Benito Mussolini, walked behind the coffin, which was carried on the shoulders of the members of the staff of the "Popolo d'ltalia," of which the deceased was editor. The Duce's face was heavy with his night's vigil in the offiees of the newspaper where the dead editor had been lying in state. Members of the family and Senators and Deputies followed the coffin. Among many wreaths was one from the Iiing of Italy, whose brother, the Duke of Bergamo partieipated in the obseqnies. Splendid drapings, mili- ; tary and Fascist banners, and the strains of solemn music added a mel- ' ancholy grandeur to the parade. A special train hore the mourners to Forli, where Arnaldo's remains were buried, after travelling streets strewn with flowers. -
