BEAUTIFYING ROTORUA.

UNCLE'JIM.

To the Editor. Sir, — Now the beauty spot at Whaka is nearly finished, I think the public should know the cost of it. This would only be businesslike. I would also suggest that before doing any more beautifying, the Council should obtain suggestions from the unemployed. There are plenty of men on the scheme qualified to lay out a place, at far less expense than what has been done previously, and they would find they would be able to beautify more places for the same expenditure. — Yours, etc.,

Whakarewarewa, Jan, 5.
