EDINBURGH COLLEGE OF ARTS £350,000 AVAILABLE
— By Telegraph — O -pyright).
LONDON, Tuesday. The "Times" says that as a result of the bequest of £80,000 sterling, invested in 1911 by Mr. Andrew Grant, a former member of the House of Commons, the Edinburgh College of Arts benefits to the extent of £350,000. It is believed that this is unparalled since Mr. Andrew Carnegie gave four Scottish universities £2,500,000 in 1901. Mr. Grant died in 1924, aged 95 years, and his widow died last year. The bequest is now available and it is expected that it will be applied to travelling and other scholarships. X TEST
