HOTEL BURNED

LICENSEE'S FAMILY HAVE NARROW ESCAPE BUILDING TOTALLY DESTROYED THAMES, Wednesday. A fire destroyed the Kopu Station Hotel at 3 a.m. __ to-day, making a clean sweep as no water was available. The building, which was erected about 60 years ago, was owned by the Williams Estate. The licensee was Mr. Sam Woodroffe, who, with his wife had a narrow escape in their night clothes. The cause of the outbreak is unknown.
