LIGHT-WEIGHT CAR
A new miniature car which has been placed on the market in England is said to be very largely composed of aluminium alloy. Even the cylinders and cylinder heads are of the light alloy, cast iron liners being shrunk in. The reduction in weight is remarkable, a four-cylind- ' er of nominally 8.7 h.p., weighing 1201b. and developing 49 brake h.p. at 6206 revolutions a minute.
