BRISBANE, Tuesday. Signor Melano,' Italian Consul in Brisbane, visited the town of Ingham on Christmas Day, and on Saturday was assaulted by several Italians, allegedly anti-Fascists. The Consul had been visiting the hospital. The attack ers were beaten off by Other men, but they took the Consul's badge. A second demonstration occurred in the evening when the Consul was struck by glass which was thrown at him. Voices in the crowd shonted, "Kill him!" The police cleared the street and arrested a man.
