PROGRAMME FOR TO-DAY
To-night's the night, for to-night will be held at the Sylvana Ballroom, commencing at 8 p.m., the grand plain and fancy dress ball to which all who have surrendered to the spirit of Carnival, as all seem to have done, have been looking forward. Most comprehensive arrangements have been made to ensure a really pleasurable evening. Copfetti and flower battles will be fought and there will be a profusion of balloons and coloured streamers to add to the colour and gaiety of the scene. Novelty danees have also been included in the programme and as large numbers of dancers will be in fancy dress, merely to be an onlooker will have its attractions, though it is extremely doubtful whether anyone could be found in Rotorua capable of resisting the temptation to join in the revels. Music will be supplied by Epi Shalfoon's famous Melody Boys and an appetising buffet supper will be served. The ball will be held though it snows. It is, of course, hoped the weather will be fine, but wet QjF fine the dance must go on. To-morrow night the Maori Hangi and native entertainnient; which were postponed last night as a result of the rain, will be held in the Town Square,. the Visitors' Night set down in the programme having been deferred until Saturday nignt.
