TUGS AIDED BY VERY HIGH, TIDE NOT SERIOUSLY DAMAGED

Rec. Dec. 28, 8.15 p.m. SYDNEY, Monday. With the aid of two powerful tugs and a very high tide, the stranded freighter, Newton Elm, was refloated at noon, and is now being towed to Sydney for docking. The vessel is making a little water, but is not seriously damaged.
