railway mishap at thorndon delays expresses 9 no damage done'

WELLINGTON, Wednes. A shunting mishap at Thorndon at six o'clock this morning resulted in the inward and outward daylight limited expresses being delayed, as well as several suburban trains. The engine of a goods train from Palmerston left the rails -when entering the yards, and came to rest in such a position that the main line was not cleared until shortly after ten o'clock. No damage was done. Tassengers by the incoming Limited were sent by bus from Jonsonville. The Auckland Limited left at 10.15, the Napier express at 10.30, and the New Plymouth express at 10.51.
