LYRIC THEATRE

VAUDEVILLE ON BOXING DAY The Jubilee Bellringers and CeleHrity Vaudeville will make their initial appearanee at the Lyric Theatre I commencing at a matinee on Boxing Day. The company comprises tc;n international artists who have met with phenomenal success in Australia and the Dominion. Musical items ranging from jazz to grand opera are given by the bellringers and also tbe wonderful organ chimes will be played, providing a remarkable musical treat. The sonorous tone of this instrument creates unbounded enthusiasm. Another very popular act is Kewpie, the comedienne, who works on broad lines and her efforts evoke roars of laughter. Two reeent additions are Sing Tai Lee, Chinese juggler and Tylers Pantomime attraction, consisting of trained monkeys and. dogs. These acts recently arrived in the Dominion and will be presented for the first time in the North Island. The comedy element predominates throughout the programme and patrons will find it a welcome change. In Australia, the flesh and blood shows are coming into their own again and Rotorua: visitors and residents who avail themselves of this unique opportunity will see one of the finest vaudeville combinations ever seen in Rotorua.
