OLD MOORE
almanac for 1932 PREDICTIONS CHEERFUL FOR GREAT BRITAIN 'QUAKE IN NEW ZEALAND _ Beyond the facts that trade relations between the Dominion and Britain will be improved to the considerable advantage of both countries and that there will be a serious earthquake shock in March, following : an eclipse of the moon on March 22, there is nothing to worry New Zealanders in Old Moore's prognostications for 1932, which have recently made their appearanee. Old Moore is quite cheerful for next year, although, of course, he gives the usual number of deaths and disasters. From the astrological poi'tents, he claims that 1932 will be a year of expansion, with Great Britain in the leading part. Next year, he says, is the year. of J expansion, and there will be a:i extension of trade and better understanding among the nations. In 1933 there will be a universal reorganisation of trade and industry to the benefit of the world. Remarkable Discoveries Remarkable and revolutionary discoveries will be made in electricity, and particularly in the realm of wireless and the study of etheric vibrations. Aviation will progress by leaps and bounds. "Politically," says Old Moore, "we shall see great constitutional chaugos and an entire reorganisation of our present system of Government. Of all countries of the world Great Britain will make by far the greatest strides during the year. . . . Saturn fmally leaves the sign Capricorn in . the year, and with its passing the shadow will be lifted from India, and that country will beeome more settled and embark upon a more prosperous period. India's gain will be Russia's loss, for Saturn passes into the Russian ruling sign, where it will remain until 1935. "During this period Russia will pay the price for her ruthless campaign against religion. One by one her leaders will fall; famine and want will cry aloud throughout the land; disease and pestilence will spread over the stricken nation until at last it turns its face again toward the light . . . The year 1934 will mark the climax of these tribulations, and 1935_will see the beginnings of the new Russia which will arise out of the chaos of the past." The affairs of Canada and America are not likely to show any material change. Australia is now emerging from its industrial difficulties and will again begin to benefit, but the other great countries^ of the world will not be particularly affected. Empire Trade Will Increase The outlook for J anuary is not very cheerful, although Old Moore says that Empire trade will increase and food and clothing will be cheaper. Money will be more plentiful. There will be critical developments in the Government on January 1 and January 12. On February 7 an important member of the British Cabinet will die, and also a person of high diplomatic rank. Financial disputes with Russia will arise about the same time. On March 1 a Royal birth will be announced. Stock exchange conditions will be affected by happenings in America on March 16. One member of the Royal Family will be threatened by illness or death at the end of April. At the beginning of April an important marriage in which a prince will take an important part will be announced. At the beginning of the spring it wijl be necessary to look carefully after the health of the Princess Margaret Rose. In the next British Budget reductions in taxation are foreshadowed, but its proposals regarding land and bousing will be criticised. At the end of May a grave naval disaster ir. forecast. In June there will be great danger of hostilities in the East. In July there will be important developments regarding trade between Great Britain and New Zealand and Canada, but in the middle of July there will be a sudden Government crisis, and there will be further difficulties on or about July 25 over unemployment, transport, or the mining industry. A shipping or air disaster is predicted for July 14, and there will be talk at that time of an engineering or dockyard strike. Fears For Health of a King The first days of August show grave danger of the death of a King beloved by all. Public ceremonies will take place at the end of the first week, and there will be changes for members of the Royal Family. There also will be Government changes during the summer quarter. About the end of September the Government at Home will be in danger of losses, for changes among the Ministers will occur about that time. There will be grave discontent about unemployment, and trouble in the cotton and mining industries. A grave mine ; disaster and great loss of life through the collapse of a famous bridge are forecast for November 14 or thereabouts. Deaths will occur of many highly-placed persons, and a famous general will die about October 21. Royalty and the
Government also will be affected. Particular prophecies relate to the Prince of Wales, who should be very careful of a gastric illness in February. There is the possibility of a Royal death in this month. Mussolini is threatened with illness and some personal sorrow in March. There is danger of death or illness either to the King or Queen in April, and the King of the Belgians is also threatened with either loss or illness. Another Royal death is foreshadowed for June. There will be a great revolt in South Africa in September, and the question of national independance will be discussed. A political assassinati'on in Egypt will be announced in that month. Affect Whole Of Mankind In November preparations will be made for a lasting agreement by the League of Nations which will affect the whole of mankind. • Old Moore's prophecies for the year just closed hit the bullseye of fact
several times, and this is stressed in the foreword to this year's publication. The almahac points out that the prophecies were made in May, 1930. Some of the prophetie bullseyes were the birth of the Princess Margaret Rose at the end of August last; the naval agreement between England, France, and Itafy; the British National Government; and the big mine disaster of some days ago. Concerning the formation of the British National Government, Old Moore forecast for October 16.* — Uranus is culminating in quadrature with Saturn, which denotes the fall of the British Government in the middle of October and a General 'Election in which a new National Government will be returned. The question of safeguarding will be- a prominent feature of velectioneering speeches, and new1 plans will be advanced. The British General Election was held on October 27.
