Here. they received help from a Govj ernment officer, after which -they j ppshed on to Kisumu. On arrival I : there Savage had to go to hospital immediately, and died on the following day. En route for Kisii, Griffiths de- ' clared, they were1 caught in severe thunderstorms, and had to sleep op the ground with only one blanket each. Their only food was pigeons which he shot. The police are now endeavouring to trace Dr. Hickey. Captain Savage's wife and family live at Croydon, England.
