( Drunk and Fighting | For being found drunk in Fenton Street and for assaulting James Black by striking him with his clenched fist • on Friday evening at 6.40 p.m., James Mooney was convicted in the Magistrate's Court on Saturday morning by Mr. S. L. Paterson, S.M., and fined 10/- on the first charge and £1 on the second, with witnesses' expenses 9/- and medical expenses 10/6. Aecused was arrested soon after the incident by Constable 'Roberts. Senior-Sergeant Carroll said that at about 6 p.m. on Friday evening accused met Black hehind a hotel. He had come from Arapuni in the morning and had been drinking.
