GRAND THEATRE
TO-NIGHT — • ! Although "6 Cylinder Love" is the ■ title of the Fox screen comedy now I showing at the Grand Theatre it I might also be called "How to be j Funny." Nine of the ten well-known players in the cast have high ranking as funsters, each possessing a different style. Spencer Tracy has an individual brand of satiric humour. as "Un The
River" and "Quick Millions" proved. Edward Everett Horton's style might be described as farcical, and it has won him a huge army of admirers. I William Collier, Snr's type can be classified as sardonic, Sidney Fox's as ingenuous, Ruth Warren's as gullible, Una Merkel's as impish, Bert Roach's as slapstick, while Lorin Raker specializes in "sap" parts and E1 Brendel in "dumb" impersonations. In the story, each of these players is perfectly suited to his or her role, and the resultant merriment is said to make "6 Cylinder Love" one of the cleverest offerings of the season. Thornton Freeland of "Whoopee" fame, directed.
