"times" heralds new reproduction epoch MOST IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENT LONDON, Wednesday. Unprecedented in the history of British newspapers "The Times" weekly edition contains illustrations in both colour and photogravure which herald a new epoch in colour reproduction in Britain. The coloured pictures include ani- ! mals at the zoo, notably brilliantly hued macaws, a hunting view, landscapes, and theatrical scenes, the production of which is made possible by an improved eolour-plate carnera en- ; abling the photographing of moving 1 scenes and ceremonies. The special printing machine em-. ployed includes • an intersetter, by which coloured pages are incorporated in the ordinary paper. This is regarded as one of the most important printing developments in recent years.
