INDUSTRIAL COMMISSION IN NEW SOUTH WALES

Rec. Dec. 16, 7.0 p.m. SYDNEY, Wednesday. A Full Court decision to-day declares that the Industrial Commission is ultra vires, the Court holding that .since the resignation of the Commissioner, Mr. K. W. Sheet, on his elevation to .the Supreme Court Bench, the deputy-commissioner has had no power to carry on the commission, and no jurisdiction to determine any matter affecting industrial awards. It is understood that the Government prpppses immedate legislative measures to remedy the position.
