PLANS OF PARTY TO INSPECT SUNKEN LUSITANIA LONDON, Thursday. The Admiralty and the Board of Trade will not object to the projeeted demonstration of the salvage expedition that hopes to inspect the Lusitania. Captain H. H. Railey, who will lead the party, states that it is intended to show that the new steel tube can be used to raise miscellaneous articles of actual or historie worth. Another oojective is the undersea motion picture and other photography at record depths. Recent experiments in the United States,. he says, warrant the belief that the expedition will succeed in photographing the condition of the wreck. Important research in submarine lighting will also be -conducted. Mr. David Kidd, the expedjtion's j engineer, v scouts the likelihood that I the wreck has eollapsed under the 1 pressure of the sea. | The Irish Free State will sanction ■ the estahlishment of a base near the • Old Head of Kinsale. Work, it is expected, will start in February.
