N.S.W. COUNTRY CRICKET TEAM DEFEATED BY 163 RUNS SCHOOLBOY'S ACHIEVEMENT

The Country team started their second innings very badly and had • lost six wickets for 77 runs at lunch. Rudd and O'Brien took part in a fine seventh wicket stand, which yielded 70. . . ..

Rudd, the schoolboy, agam 3ustified his inclusion, making 73 and achieving the distinction of being the. highest Country scorer in either innings. The last wicket fell just before tea. The South Afi'icans won by 163 runs.
