— By Telegraph — Copyright).
Rec. Dec. 13, 5.5 p.m. LONDON, Saturday The "Tiipes" Glasgow correspondent states that speculation is rif e com cer-ning the fate of thehuge Cunarder which weighs 43,000 tons. Fears for her safety are also expressed. AcCording to a minor shipyard offficial she is gradually sinking it being neeessary to have her constantly propped up, and there may he irreparahle damage if she is left any considerable time. In some quarters it is believed that unless it is decided to scrap the whole steamer, an effort will be made to complete the now open stern so that the hull can be launched and left to float until construction is resumed.
