LAW CLERK SENTENCED FOR F-1 LSIFY'NG FIRMS' BOOKS EMPLOYERS COMMIT SUICIDE MELBOURNE, Wed Charles Everest, aged 36 years, law clerlc, was sentenced to four years imprisonmcr.t for fraud and falsificaticn of 1ns emplo**er's boolcs. Everest was employed by Doughrey and Douglas, solicitors, both of whom committed suicide earPer in the year. •L-dgo Wninarski commented that Everest was probably an evil spirit for this unfortunate firm, and was possibly responsible for the shortages in its clients' funds,, which led to the untimely deaths of his employers.
