WELLINGTON, Thursday. The number of unemployed men registered in New Zealand for the week ended December 10, was 47,096, showing a decrease of 459 below the total for the previous week. j The total includes 33,446 men who were engaged in part-time relief schemes, leaving 13,650 who are registered but unemployed. This last figure was greater by 1705 than the number unplaced a week earlier. The registrations include men with dependants, 30,876; men without depsndants, 16,220. Men with dependants in the four main cities were Auckland, 3255, Wellington, 2841, Christchurch 3658, and Dunedin
1751, the total for the four cities being 11,505 . The number of single men registered as unemployed in these cities is 2877, 2626, 1497, and 1063 respectiveiy. The total for the four cities being 8063. A continuous decline in the total of registered unemployed has been recorded since the first week in October. It should he remembered, however, that men placed in single workers' relief camps and those placed in employment on farms with a subsidy from the unemployed fund are not included in the registrations for which the figures are given above. Approximately 1000 men are now in relief camps and some 6000 are employed on farms under the subsidies schemes of the Unemployment Board.
