BRAKES.

All rods in the brake actuating mechanism should be inspected regularly and yokes or points freed from grease and mud, anchorages and pins inspected and then lubricated with thin oil. Brakes should be kept in correct adjustment continuously, for thus tyre wear is redueed and risk of skidding minimised. Many service stations have machines available whereby brake tension can be determined accurately, and where these are conventiently situated they should be made full use of.
