PERTH, Tuesday. Over 100 people have died from influenza in Perth during the last few days. The outbreak is attributed to a heatwave, as the temperature has averaged 99 degrees for five days the highest point reached being 101 degrees. On Monday 21' fuiterals were conducted at the Karrakatta cemetery which is the highest total for any day since the cemetery was opened 32 years ago. The previous -record ( 19) was reached in 1919 when the influenza epidemic was raging. Yesterday the record went to 29.. , .. .. These figures are alarming the public.
