PROBATE OPPOSED
WILL OF WEALTHY WAIRARAPA FARMER CONTESTED BY SONS TESTAMENTARY CAPACITY WELLINGTON, Tuesday.
An action asking for probate m solemn form of the will and two codicils of Joshua Viles, a wealthy Wairarapa farmer who di-ed in February, was commenced in the Supreme Court fo-day before Mr. Justice Ostler. The plaintiffs are Samuel Cundy, stock buyer, and Quentin Donald, farmer, both of Featherston as trustees of ftie testator in the estate, and the defendants are tWo sons of the testator, Albert Victor Viles, farmer, of Greytown and Stanley Steadman Viles, clerk, of Napier. The late Joshua Viles, who lived at Featherston left an estate valued at roughly* £25,000. Prohate is opposed by the two sons on the ground that the second codicil purported to have been executed when the testator lacked testamentary capacity. It is expected that the hearing will last several days.
