In the House of Commons the Mmister of Agriculture, Sir John Gilmour, replying to a question suggesting that South African aftd Aiistralian'eggs were beiug sold as ne^-laid, pointed out that the country 6f ori gin had to be inarked oh all imported eggs, thus enabliftg the consumer to decide Whethei' thejr 'were describable as "newlaid".
