MOTOR 1CAR AND LORRY COLLIDE AT CORNER CHILDREN'S ESCAPE

HAMILTON, Monday. Shortly before mid-day yesterday a car driven by Mr. Frank Arthur Fitness, a sharemilker, of Patetonga and a cream lorry driven by Alfred Martelli, were involved in a collision at the Elstow School corner, whieh resulted in Mrs Fitness being admitted to the Te Aroha Hospital, suffering from a broken collar-bone. The impact was severe, and the car was badly damaged. The back wheel was smashed, the hood crushed, and the body dented. The three children of Mr and Mrs Fitness had a miraculous escape. Neither driver was injured, a.nd the U_'uck escaped with a bent mudguard.
