LICENSING MEETING

APPLICATIONS DEALT WITH BY ROTORUA DISTRICT COMMITTEE The adjourned quarterly meeting of the Rotorua District Licensing Committee was held yesterday. On the hench were, Mr. S. L. Paterson, S.M. '(chairman), Messrs. N. M. Keane, L. C. Ryan, H. R. Macdonald, A. V. Merriman, and R. Griffiths. Applications in respect of alterations of premises were made by the licensee of the Waiotapu Hotel, Clive McQuinlan (Mr. G. Urquhart), and on eounsel's application, were adjourned until the next meeting of the committee on Tuesday, January 26, when Mr. Urquhart stated that he would be able to report regarding the building. An application for the transfer of ap accommodation license from Ella Chirton to John Archibald Cyril Fleming (Mr. L. Dingle) was granted. This application was in respect o;f the Geyser Hotel, Wairakei. : An application for the transfer of the license of the Lake Hbuse Hotel, Ohinemutu, from Peter Theodore Pederson, to Edwin Gordon Fraser, was approved.
