GONFERENCES ASSEMBLE TO DISCUSS CREDITS AND REPARATIONS RESULT MAY AFFECT WORLD

, LONDON, Sunday. Conferences opening on Monday may have consequences which will be felt throughout the- world and contribute to the settlement of Europe. The Young Plan Consultative Committee, which is to inquire into the capacity of Germany to pay reparations, will assemble at Basle, and simultaneously a committee of bankers on the frozen German credits will meet at Berlin. The proceedings are expected to be protracted, and the reports will not be ready for a conferenee of international statesmen before February.
