BRITISH COMEDY
INTERNATIONAL PICTURES NEW ELSTREE SUCCESS. The cast of "Compromising Daphne," which was directed by Thomas Bentley for British International Pictures at Elstree, includes Jean Colin as "Daph:ie," Charles Hickman as the hero, ar. j Phyllis Konstam as "Sadie," the csntral comedy characters. Hickman has had some stage experience in America, and Phyllis Aonstam played a comedy part in Alfred Hitchcock's "Murder!" "Compromising Daphne," for the benefit of those who missed the play, is the story of a young man who for farcical financial reason is supposed to compromise a young lady called Daphne before marrying her, but by mistake he compromises her friend Sadie, with amazing and amusing consequences.
