BLUE EYES HAVE IT
AN ASSET IN BATTLE FOR TALKIE PICTURE HONOURS. Girls, if you have blue eyes and a fair skin, your chances of getting into motion pictures are better than four-to-one over your brown-eyed sisters. At least this is the inference drawn from a 'compilation of statistics at the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studios, where it is disclosed there are twelve blue-eyed damsels as against three darlc-eyed beauties. Heading the blue-eyed list qre Marion Davies, Norma Shearer, Greta Garbo, Joan Crawford, Anita Page, Una Merkel, Joan Marsh, Marjorie Rambeau, Irene Purcell, Polly Moran,
Charlotte Greenwood and Janet Currie. The brown eyes are Lynn Fontanne, Astrid Alwynn and Marjorie King. 'The green-eyed delegation, completing the feminine aggregation of the contract list, is comprised of Marie Dressler, Leila Hyams, and Hedda Hopper, while Madge Evans and Dorothy Jordan have grey eyes. Karen Morley is alone with hazel-blue.
