Strange "Contributions."

A strange conglomeration of "subscriptions" to the Mayor's relief of distress fund, in Christchurch, have been found in the collection boxes. The artieles included seven wax matches, en pins, six tokens, seven tins, two five cents pieces, one 10centimes piece, one piece of solder, one Canterbury Automobile Association token, a" Bulgarian coin, four distress fund badges, one 30 lire piece, two farthings, four huttons, and one silvered over halfpenny. The total collected was £76 6s 6d. In sixpences and 'threepenny pieces, a total of £56 ls 6d was collected on one evening.
