REPOROA, Tuesday. On Sunday last a tournament was played on the Reporoa Tennis Club's eourts between members of the Maori Tennis Club and the Reporoa Tennis I Club. Th.'s was the first tournament for a challenge shield which has been ourchased jointly by the two clubs. The result was in favour of the Maori players. ^ ° Next Saturday and Sunday a tournament is to be played between the Reporoa Maoris and the Hinemoa Club, of Rotoi'ua. There is to be a b'g dance on the Saturday night. Of the meetings held to hear poli'.ical addresres at Reporoa, the larg;st was that held on Saturday last by Mr. E. E. Vaile. A good address was followed by many questions and at the conclusion the candidate was a,ccorded a vote of thanks by a maj- J ority.
