CLERKS SHOT DOWN
BANIC ROBBERS MAKE OFF WITH CASH AND ESCAPE. CAPETOWN, Wednesday Bandits in a motor car callously shot down two bank clerks at Plumstead, a suburb of Capetown, as the ; latter were entering bank premises | yesterday morning with the day's cash. ;Seizing the cashbag, the bandits made off at a high speed, abandoning the car later, near Capetown. By clever police work, all three bandits were arrested late at night. There^ is- little hope of the bank clerks surviving. One was hit by three bullets.
