WESTPORT, Tuesday.

The final shots in the election campaign were fired to-night in the Theatre Royal which was packed npstairs and down to hear addresses by Mr. John Menzies, who is opposing Mr. H. E. Holland for the Buller seat, and by the Hon. E. A. Ransom. Both were given an excellent hearing, punctuated in places with some disturhances from a very small section. At the close, a motion of thanks and confidence and an amendment of thanks only were moved. The Mayor, who presided, decl^ed the motion carried, amid applause and some counter applause for Mr, Holland. j
