SHANGHAI, Monday. The withdrawal of Japanese troops from Chinese territory into the South Manchurian Railway zone continues. Even Tsitsihar is reported to * have been evacuated. Other ■ withdrawals are expected to be gradual as conditions permit, nntil
the status quo as on September 19 is reached. There were sensational stoek market rises here to-day consequent on the military developments. The demand on the Chinese bond market was such that the officials were compelled to elose shortly after the opening. The majority of stocks showed big gains.
