N,Z. Political Reform League 1 —ROTORUA BRANCH= j * j See our candidate as others j see him The Leading Article of New Zealand's Leading Newspaper (vide issue of Npvember 26, 1931) says:-?~ I "This leaves .only Rotorua for detailed consideration. Here the 1 position is interesting. Two aspirants, one of whom has been officially | designated the Coalition candidate, really dispute the issue between them. j At least, past. results suggest it. There is no doubt that Mr. Yaile, if returned, will support Coalition so long as it exists, His own professions and his known views of years past forbid him doing anything else. Rotorua I can then ask itself whether Mr. Yaile is not the type pf candidate who I should be sent to Parliament, whether officially endorsed or not. The answer | must be emphatically that he is. His public .spirit, his energy, his intimate l knowledge of the peculiar problems of the electorate, and his breadth of * | vision all endorse his candidature to an extent that justifies the electorate | in disregarding that other endors.ement automatically given retiring | members. Rotorua can support the Coalition and support him too. If it | does, it will give Parliament a member who will strengthen its counsels | and help to raise its calibre. This it can do without altering the general 1 principle that in the rural seats the call is to send to "Wellington men who I will further the cause for which the Coalition was formed, that of applying | as directly and as firmly as possible the measures of rehabilitation the | country needs so urgently in, these days of emergency." i a | The Duty of the Elector i „ .ii. . , J is to search his own hearts and? having satisfieci his own judgment | and conscience as to which of the candidates off ering is best quali- | fied by character, experience and ability to help our country in its j _ ' hour of need, ' j Vote for that Man ! i ' j Don't take orders from Wellington.
