MRS J. WALKER
The death occurred at an early hour yesterday morning of Mrs J. Walker, a lady who for thirty years past has been a resident of Rotorua and who had gathered around her a very wide cirele of friends. The late Mrs Walker was born in Ireland about 65 years ago and came to New Zealand at an early age. Older residents of the town will remember the tragic death of her husband, the late Mr. Jaanes Walker, who was killed wliile bush-felling. For seventeen years, Mrs Walker was in charge of the laundry department at the Bath buildings and retired on supefannuation only three years ago. The deaceased lady brought up a family of ten children and nine of them are left to mourn their loss. They are, Mrs. W. Scott (Waipukurau), Mrs Creamer (Auckland), Mrs Cook (Auckland), Mrs Fraser (Dunedin) , Mrs W. Martin (Rotorua) , Mrs Dockerty (Kaihu), , Messrs W. Walker, K. Walker, and H. Walker, all of Rotorua. The funeral will take place from the residence of her son, Mr. H. Walker, on Sunday afternoon at 3.30.
