WILL RETURN £16 TO UNEMPLOYMENT ' FUNDS The dance held in the Majestic ballroom on Thursday night to aUgment the unemployment relief funds was an unqualified success and will retufn a nett amount of £16 to "the funds. . Blazers aiid" flannels, added a holiday atmosphere to the scene and the dancing floor presented a colourful spectacle. - -• During the course of the evening, Father Spierings, chairman of the Unemployment Committee/ thanked those present for their support and paid a warm tribute to the many willing workers who had done so much towards the success of the evening. Particular credit was due to the Basketball Association, which had orgariised the dance, to Mr. Epi Shalfodh and his orchestra- who had .given their. services free, and the following who had donated cakes, decorations, and otfier materials for the dance, Messrs Jupp and Co. Ewart, Cotrfell, Jbhn son's bakery, Greenhead's bakbry, S^a teairooms, Grand tea-rooms, 'Mfirtin's dairy, Dawson and Son, Rotorua Fur/ nlshing Co./ Garriocks, T5;-A. Clarke and Son. O. H. Coleman, Miss Rickman and Mr. E, Armer.
