OLD HOME DESTROYED MATAMATA, Thursday. An old six-roomed house in Burwood Road, owned by Mrs Fitzgerald and occupied by Mrs Jones 'and her young son, was burned to the ground at four o'clock this morning. Nothing was saved. The oceu"pants escaped in their night attire. The insuranees are £100 on the house and £300 on the furniture.
