ACTION BY VICEROY OF INDIA TO MEET CRISIS BILL REJECTED BY ASSEMBLY

DELHI, Sunday. Despite the rejection of the Finance Bill by the Indian Legislative Assembly it is expected that the Viceroy will certify the Bill to-morrow, thus ensuring effective measures to meet India's financial crisis. These include a doubled income tax and an all-round increase on import duties and postages.
