WELLINGTON, Friday. || The Minister in Charge of Unem--ployment, Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates, announced to-day that the total number of unemployed registered during the week ended November 16 was 48,795 compared with 49,935 for the week ended November 9, a decrease of 1140. This decrease is the largest that has taken place for some considerable tiine and.is held to be due to the increased aetivities in seasonal occupations and the revival of the No. 4 scheme. The number of employed on part time under No. 5 scheme is 35,895 and the number of registered but unplaced workers is 12,900.
