NOT TIED TO COALITION
STANDING AS BUSINESS MAN. AUCKLAND, Thursday. Mr. J. A. C. Allum, chairman of the Transport Board, had a good opening meeting as a Reformer in Auckland West. He denied that he was tied to Coalition in any way, and said he offered himself as a business man, not as a politician. Replying t.o a question, he said that if the Coalition parties fell out, they would have to conie back to the people to be told who was to take charge of the country.
