MAIN TRUNK BLOCKED coal train leaves rails south of te awamutu EXPRESSES HELD UP

AUCKLAND, last night. A serious derailment of a goods train occurred on the main trunk line south of Te Awamutu about 10 o'cloek to-night. The train was made up of trucks.of coal and left Huntly just before 7 p.m. The derailment occurred at Kiokio, but few details are available to-night as the railway telegraph lines were broken by the accident. It is stated that 14 waggons left the line. Extensive damage was done to waggons and the track, but there was no loss of life.
